Souq Waqif Falcon Hospital Overview:
Souq Waqif Falcon Hospital (SWFH) is a specialty practice for falcons established in the year 2008. In 2011 construction work on a 3-floor hospital was completed and the facility was subsequently inaugurated clinical work began in August of that year to face the challenges of expected heavy caseloads in the following month of September when falconry season officially begins.
Currently, the hospital provides clinical and laboratory services to a daily turnover of 130-150 falcons during the peak season and up to 50 falcons daily during the molting season.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Educational Background: Relevant degree in veterinary science, animal care, or related fields.
- Experience: Previous experience in veterinary settings is preferred; freshers are welcome.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team.
- Passion for Animals: Genuine interest in falconry and wildlife care.
- Work Ethic: Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and manage stressful situations.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with veterinary tools and software may be advantageous.
